May Day

May Day is coming up. I used to love May First. We would always make May Day baskets and take them to our friends and cousins house. That was such fun. I am not sure if all places across the US do this. My boyfriend had never heard of it before he met me.
An easy way to make a cute may day basket is to save the shell formers from Aztec salad bowls. Let your kids decorate them up with markers and stickers. Then place some pop corn in the bottom of them. One could use any type of pop corn you have on hand. Little kids may like cheese popcorn or carmel corn. Then add some little candies, such as tootsie rolls or even tootsie pops. I have also added little Debbie snacks to them and little cookies that are prepackaged. Really the possibilties are endless if you think about it. Fruit snacks make a great addition as well.
