Knowing emotional abuse

Parents discipline their child for them to know what is right from wrong, and to be responsible individuals as early as posssible. It is also natural for kids to be scolded for their wrongdoings. These disciplinary actions have certain boundaries and if parents knowingly or unknowingly cross that boundary, that is where emotional abuse comes in.
At their tender age, children are sensitive and give their trust easily. They trust their parents more than any other people in their life. But if the people they put their trust to are the people that would abuse them, they will carry it’s scar emotionally when they grow up. Emotional abuse affects a child’s self esteem and confidence. He/ She will not be a balance person specially when dealing with other people.
Parents who do not know if their kind of discipline affects their child emotionally must seek expert counsel. This will enable them to understand their child more and learn ways of how to discipline them without torturing their emotions.
