Day off from school

Children look forward to holidays because they are off from school for the day. They want to spend this day doing activities that are entertaining to them. Here are a few they may enjoy.

Your child can have a slumber party with siblings or a friend. Take out the sleeping bags, put on a children’s DVD and pop some popcorn for a fun night in.

Take the kids to a park for a picnic and some playtime. Look for parks that have jungle gyms and hills to roll down.

Visit the local museum. Spend a few hours exploring dinosaurs, art or science.

Create arts & crafts based on that holiday. Head to the local crafts store, pick up some supplies, and create a masterpiece together.

Put on your aprons and bake some cookies or a cake, then enjoy with a tall glass of milk.

If you are a parent who cannot get off work for the day, hire a babysitter who can do these activities with them.
