Make your own Lunchables

My son loves Lunchables. But these can cost upwards of $2.50 each. I think this is a ridiculous price for a little meal! So, I make him his own, but in a healthier way. I buy whole grain Ritz crackers, or the cheaper version of it. I put a few of these in a very small tupperware container. In another container, I’ll put a few slices of sliced roasted turkey breast. I’ll also include a colby-jack cheesestick. He gets healthier nutrition this way and at less of a cost. I also ditch the candy or cookie idea and will replace it either with honey sticks or a cut up nectarine.
If you want some variety to this, you can use chicken breast, a lite mozerella string cheese and whole wheat saltine crackers. For the “dessert”, you can do a container of red grapes or fruit leather. Pair with a lowfat chocolate milk or 100% apple juice box.
