Traveling for the first time with an infant can be a very challenging task for the parents in US. Car seats, changes of clothes, diapers and many more many more things become an unavoidable part of the journey. Among all these small things there is one more item, which is important to consider and that is an infant passport.
The importance of passport has highly increased these days. Hardly any border can be crossed without a passport, so strict are the laws these days. There is no provision of adding an infant to the U.S. passport. Authorities have made it compulsory for every citizen, even infants to have their own passports. Carrying your child’s passport is equally important as your own otherwise he or she may be regarded with suspicion.
Applying for an infant passport should be considered equally important, just as a birth certificate. One should still apply for infant passport despite of no immediate future plans of international travel.
