No single age limit reliably separates normal from abnormal processes in children today, but some age thresholds for evaluation will minimize the risk of missing a significant medical problem. Some of the indications are pubic hair or genital enlargement in boys with onset before 9 years; breast development in boys before appearance of pubic hair and testicular enlargement; pubic hair before 8 or breast development in girls with onset before 7 years and menstruation in girls before 10 years.
First of all the parents should approach to talk to the doctor that whether treatment is a good idea for their child or not. Make sure that the child understands that everyone goes through the same kind of changes, but they happen earlier in some kids and later in others. The child should be examined thoroughly by the doctor to find what is wrong with his/her hormones.
