I absolutely agree...As a mum, I've personally tried many different methods. I also got burnt when I tried the "rewards" method. This method of rewarding my kids each time after a good behaviour back-fired since kids tends to expect a reward each time. However, you are right and I find spending more quality time with the kids does infact reduces the negative behavioral problem. I would also like to share this site that helped me in understanding "<a href="http://www.aussiechildcarenetwork.com/child_behaviour_psychology.php" rel="nofollow">Children's Behavior</a>" and practical guides on how to deal with tantrums, separation anxiety, misbehaving,attention seeking and much more. I believe that this should help other parents out there. SO check it out. There are many free resources you can find.
