Good hygiene starts during childhood, and pearly white teeth should always be considered by mother in taking care of their young ones. How to keep their teeth strong, white, and cavity free is an essential aspect of having a healthy baby/toddler as well. As when the Childs teeth are disregarded, it could lead to more serious effect like rheumatic heart disease. It is often caused by infection on the gums or throat that descends to the heart of the person, and it is being developed during early childhood.
Taking care of your Childs dental health starts when the toddler develops his/her first tooth, usually at the age of six months. From then on, they should be seen by a pediatric dentist every six months for better care of the teeth.In brushing their teeth, use flouride-free toothpaste since they are not good at spitting. Teach them to brush their teeth three times a day or every after meal so they develop a healthy dental hygiene while still young. And when they are used to it, they will carry it in their adulthood. We have to be creative in encouraging your child to brush their teeth because more often they become resistant to it, associate brushing with play or game is a nice idea. Also, guide the child’s eating habits, it is best if the sugar that they get comes fruits or juice, and it is not beneficial that they are used into eating candies or chocolates which is one of the culprits in tooth decay.
