I never thought my ex would move the mind games and manipulation to our child and blindly thought that once he and I split, peace would reign. Your article is very good and very accurate, it is encouraging to know I'm not alone with this situation. He has initiated the process of gaining access/contact through a solicitor regardless of the fact that our daughter, who is 9, wants no contact with him at all. I am hoping that due to her age, she will not be forced to see him. He is an alcoholic and repeat ex offender who has never worked. He shows no real concern/interest for her welfare and contributes absolutely nothing to her life so I can only believe his motives are about control and 'winning'. I have real concerns for the long term impact on her and her outcomes.
